RACING SCHOOL HEATS UP THE RECORD COLD WEATHER

Announced today, Baker Racing School is The Exclusive Race School of Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway for 2010. BRS will be on track for a minimum of 12 dates in 2010. For those who don’t know the History of Baker Racing School, BRS is the original longest running true race school in the industry started by the legendary Buck Baker Family.

Speedway Associates, Inc. (President) Alton McBride Jr. had this to say: We at SAI / NWS are very pleased to work with another legendary name and the historical honor that goes with The Baker Racing School. This is what we are about at Historical NWS. While we have to stay up with the cutting edge times and technology of our ever changing industry, we have the ultimate responsibility to preserve and rebuild short track racing health in our region. SAI officials have stated that they hoped the winter was going to be mild like the last few years; we are currently ahead of schedule and right on target, we are simply just anxious to get paint on the walls and begin our work when weather permits.

Jeff Boyer and the team at BRS have already completed 2009 having updated their fleet of cup cars and the commitment they have made to The Baker Family name and Historic NWS is nothing short of unmatched in the industry. Original plans were to begin on track in late January but with the huge cold swing and temperatures at and below freezing Boyer and BRS have requested a potential starting date of February. Boyer stated we simply cannot wait to get on track at NWS. We will have to just be patient and work with Mother Nature as (she is the boss.)  The buzz in the air is awesome and we have enjoyed the enthusiasm of the racing public who has been requesting advanced sales for 2 months now in hopes we will go to NWS.
